Delete Your Account
How to permanently delete your EdgeScan account and all associated data.
This action is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, all data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Option 1: Delete via the App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the EdgeScan app:
- Open the EdgeScan app.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to Account.
- Tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Option 2: Request via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us:
privacy@edge-scan.com
Please include the email address associated with your EdgeScan account. We will process your request within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account profile and authentication credentials.
- Watchlist items and tracked horses.
- Chat conversation history.
- Edge notes and saved queries.
- Notification preferences and device registrations.
- Entitlement and subscription records (our side).
Note about subscriptions: Deleting your EdgeScan account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Please cancel any active subscription through Google Play > Subscriptions before or after deleting your account to avoid further charges.
What Is Retained
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics — data that cannot identify you may be retained for product improvement.
- Legal obligations — if required by law, we may retain certain records for the legally mandated period.
Timeline
Account deletion via the app is processed immediately. Email requests are processed within 30 days. All personal data is permanently removed within 30 days of the deletion request.
