EdgeScan ("we", "us", "our") operates the EdgeScan mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

We collect the following information when you use EdgeScan:

Account information: Email address and password (managed by Supabase Auth).
Subscription data: Purchase history and entitlement status (managed by RevenueCat and Google Play).
Usage data: App interactions, chat queries, and feature usage for analytics and product improvement.
Device information: Device type, operating system, push notification tokens, and crash reports (via Sentry).
Watchlist and preferences: Horses, races, and notification preferences you save.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Service.
To manage your account and subscriptions.
To send push notifications you have opted in to.
To analyse usage patterns and improve the Service.
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use:

Supabase (EU region) for authentication and database storage, with Row-Level Security enforced on all user data.
Google Cloud Platform (europe-west1) for API and processing services.
RevenueCat for subscription management.
Sentry for error reporting (no personal data is included in error reports).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Service providers necessary to operate the app (listed above).
Law enforcement if required by law.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/UK, you have the right to:

Access your personal data.
Rectify inaccurate data.
Delete your account and all associated data (via Settings > Delete Account, or by contacting us).
Export your data in a portable format (via Settings > Export My Data).
Object to processing of your data.
Withdraw consent at any time.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove all personal data within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Cookies and Tracking

The EdgeScan mobile app does not use cookies. We use anonymous analytics to understand usage patterns.

8. Children's Privacy

EdgeScan is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
